The RMC will operate based on contracts to mine W amount of resource X in Y amount of time (days) for price Z.
Z will be dependent upon W, X and Y and will take into account who the buyer is.
Buyer:
A buyer can be anyone other than a resource merchant.
Buyer contacts the RMC to place an order, specifying kind (quality-wise, specific type-wise, etc.) and amount of resource to be mined as well as if there is any time limit involved in getting the resource or delivery vendor wp.
RMC:
The RMC contact determines if it's possible to fulfill the order (if people have enough lots open, if there is enough time, if resource available at the moment).
Quotes price to the buyer.
Finds suitable mining location given contract restraints.
Sends email to the RMC stating buyer name, resource, mining wp, amount to be mined, time limit, cpu and delivery wp*. This information should also be posted in a new thread "Contract: BuyerName, ResourceName".
Before heading to set up on the resource, the miner should check the thread to see if anyone has already set up on it.
Miners should reply to the thread when they are set up on mining wp and state how many harvestors they have on the spot, what the % is and the BER of the harvestors. This will let others know if more harvestors are needed on the resource.
*If there is a delivery wp, the miner(s) will drop off the resource on the vendor and then email the buyer letting them know that the resource has been offered. If no delivery wp, the miner(s) will contact the buyer and arrange a delivery or they may drop it off at the RMC House so that a RMC contact may contact the buyer. If the later, please post on the boards that this is the case.
Units extracted per day:
Concentration % * BER * 60 (min/hr) * 24 (hr/day)
example: 78% with BER 13s: .78 * 13 * 60 * 24 = 14.6k units/day/harvestor.
Who are RMC contacts:
Should be a surveyor that's ingame semi-regularly (3 day/week) and has time to survey for orders. We shouldn't have too many contacts otherwise things may fall through the cracks, but we don't want to have too few, otherwise, buyers will have a tough time contacting us. Contacts would be responsible with seeing that the contracts are met.
Who are miners:
Anyone participating in the RMC that has lots open (minimum: 2, peferable: 4+). They should own their own harvestors and supply their own maintenance and power for your harvestors. Miners should be ingame semi-regularly and be responsible with keeping threads up to date when they are mining a resource.
Price:
General guidelines:
Grind quality: 2cpu
High quality: 4cpu
Ore and water: +.5cpu due to lower concentrations
Radioactive: 1.5cpu
If the buyer is a RMC or Reliance/R-A member: -1cpu (not to go under 1.5cpu)
Additional fees:
Search fee (if the resource is not currently available and the buyer would like us to keep an eye out for it): 50k/resource
Search fee does not guarentee that we will mine the resource for them, just look for it. Reasoning: we have no idea if we will have miners available when the resource comes in.
Time fee (if order needs to be filled before standard amount of time): 75k/day below standard
Reasoning: this requires us to get on a resource quicker and usually with more lots.
Standard time for (1 day delay for set up time is figured in):
100+k units: 6 days (2 BER10s on 75% can fill this)
<100k units: 4 days (at most 3-4 BER10s on 75%)
Delivery fee (if the buyer must be meet to drop off the resources): 25k/100k of resources
Reasoning: Vendors allow us to drop off the resource anytime of day, meeting a buy requires a greater amount of time.
Distribution of fee:
75% Miner
10% Surveyor
10% Reliance
5% RMC
Additional fees:
50k survey fee: 100% to RMC
75k/day fee: 70% Miner, 30% RMC
25k/100k delivery fee: 80% Deliverer, 20% RMC
Reliance and RMC portions of fees:
Reliance fee: should be donated to the city hall. This will rely on the honor system. Lets help the city so we can afford additional amenities such as decorations and trainers.
RMC fee: I'm not sure how is best to collect this. It would be great if we could use it to fund fusion generators so we can all have free power; however static fusions would be tough there aren't too many classes in-shift at a given time so the % would often suck. Someone could move them around so the % is good, but then we'd all need to travel to make payment to the RMC. Any suggestions on this is certainly welcomed. Maybe make it a donation to the city hall? /shrug
Excess resources and RMC House:
A RMC house is available for shared resources and fulfilling orders. This house should have the entire RMC on the admin list and is currently located in Reliance at 3779 -6848 Rori.
At the discretion of the miner, excess resources may be placed in the RMC house for anyone else to use in crafting or grinding (or for use in mining if the resource happens to be power). These resources are not for sale. Known high quality resources should be set aside in marked containers so they don't accidentally get used to grind.
*If no delivery wp is available for a contact and the resources are to be left at the RMC House, the order will be left in a specially marked backpack. A RMC contact will get intouch with the buyer notifying them their order has been filled and will arrange a time and location to complete the contract. The RMC contact will then pay the miner their share.
---This is subject to change. Once a contract is made, it will be immune to changes made in our policy unless all parties agree to modifications.---
